Default Possible new project 56 Ford F100

A friend of mine bought these and has abandoned ship on the project and offered them to me a fairly good deal. Since I am in between projects at the moment I am seriously considering buying the pair and putting something together to try and make a few extra bucks to put towards my SS/RS when the time comes.

They were both long bed 3/4 ton trucks and he already started shortening the frame and bed on the white one and it just needs finished up. He said he would include a front subframe & rear end from a 72 Camaro he parted out a while back so I can stub the front of the frame & do the rear suspension.

I am seriously considering these and plan to take an empty trailer up to look at them this weekend. He is 240 miles away which is a bummer but still close enough to turn & burn if we make a deal.

Here are a couple of pics he sent me any thoughts?

WOW, they are kind of ruff. But I know you canhandle it. Should keep you busy for a good while.

What is your plan, rob between the two and make a good one and junk the other one?

Good luck with it, Im sure it will turn out great.

Yeah they look a bit ruff but I think the price will be right. people around here go nuts for this kind of thing so I thought I might drag them home pull the axles out of the white truck to put under the green truck to make it a roller.

Then I can stub the front of the white truck with the Camaro subframe and rear end to get it on the ground. Reassemble & ruff in the body, put it in primer and up for sale. as a project and see what happens.

The green truck I would like to keep for myself for a project at a later date down the road. I did 55 F100 back in the early 90 with a 351 cleavland & C6 and have always wished I would have kept it.

I am hoping I can turn the white after a little elbo grease and make a couple grand profit off it and still be able to keep the one for myself.

okay nick...

promise me, if you make a little money you have to buy a lift and build a shop in the rear of your house.

If you want... I can pass the hint to your misses and see if she'll buy it. lol

Well I already have the lift and she is already convinced we need the new garage, I just want to wait to be able to pay cash to build it.

I am sorry Sir, but this is a site dedicated to the enhancement, enjoyment, and revival of Camaros only.

Please refrain from any further posts regarding Ford products; Particularly in the instance of trucks.

Thank you.

The Management. (Teddy.)
