I havent been taping them but might when I do my big block car. I have ben painting & clearing the jams, then reassembling the car, doing the final wet sand and shooting the paint and clear over the outside. I do get a little overspray in the jams but its not to bad. A person could just sand & buff it out but I never thought it was bad enough to worry about.

The only cars I have ever really shot all in pieces were my 39 Coupe and my father in laws Super Gas 66.

I did this one in Viper Red back 10 + years ago. Never bothered too cutt & buff it, and shot it with a 50.00 Harbor freight gun, wasnt even an HVLP.



They turned out the nicest, but I usually cause so much damage trying to reassemble them after there painted , I just gave up and started painting them assembled.
